Website button on the company page leads to the company again

Companies whose website address lacked “https://” linked to an error page in the shop. The button now opens the correct website.

The problem

Many companies entered their website as “www.example.com”, without “https://” in front. On the company page in the shop, the “Website” button then led not to the company but to a 404 page of the shop. The address was also invalid in the data for search engines.

The solution

If the protocol is missing, the shop now adds it automatically. The “Website” button opens the company’s site, and search engines receive a valid address. You do not need to change anything in your master data.
