Withdrawal without signing in – with order number and email address

Buyers can now withdraw from a purchase without signing in: the order number and the email address used for the order are enough.

The problem

Until now, the withdrawal function in the shop could only be used after signing in to the customer account. The law, however, requires it to be easily accessible (Section 356a of the German Civil Code). Anyone who could not sign in, for example because they had forgotten their password, had to fall back on sending an email.

The solution

On the “Withdrawal form” page of every shop, the order number and the email address used for the order are now enough. You then select the items and click “Confirm withdrawal”. The acknowledgement with the content of the declaration and the date and time of receipt is sent by email to the order email address. Signed-in buyers can also reach the function directly from the order in their customer account. Retailers receive the withdrawal in the order as before.
